Massage Therapy Program

Overview of Our Massage Therapy Program…

Your choice of massage school is an important part of the process in becoming a successful massage therapist. We pride ourselves on the education our students receive and their ability to transfer that education into real world practice after graduation. Our students will have access to job placement programs, a large alumni network throughout the Philadelphia area, and on-going career guidance as needed. We consider our students to be an extension of our family and seek to foster a supportive community that you can rely on.

The massage therapy program at The Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to become a professional massage therapist. Students will be educated in the studies of Anatomy and Physiology, Massage Theory and History, and hands on practice in Swedish and Therapeutic Massage. Additionally, our students will have the opportunity to apply these skills in a clinical setting. Students will also become familiar with other modalities such as Sports Massage, Reflexology, Pregnancy Massage, and Medical Massage.

Other Massage Schools…

The average massage school costs between $6,000 – $10,000 to complete your education. Most of these massage schools are national for profit education companies, many of which offer programs in addition to massage therapy. Some of these programs include skin care, cosmetology, skilled trades, and commercial driving (CDL training).

The Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks is a considerable value compared to other massage therapy schools (see below) in the Philadelphia area. In addition to being a value financially, our massage school is just that…a massage school! That’s all we do, we help educate a new generation of massage therapists and continue that education throughout their career with our continuing education courses.
